How to Prepare an Effective Product Enquiry for a Healthcare Supplier

1 min read

A useful healthcare supplier enquiry allows the recipient to identify the product and understand the decision you are trying to make. Keep the opening message concise, with supporting detail organized underneath it.

Write the purpose in the first paragraph

State your company, role and intended destination. Explain whether you need product information for an internal review or are exploring a wider commercial discussion. Avoid presenting an initial enquiry as a confirmed order.

Use this message structure

Our company is reviewing the catalogue presentations linked below for our intended market. Please help us confirm the current product specification, saleable pack and the information needed for our next assessment. The quantities shown are provisional and use the unit stated beside each product.

This is a suggested opening, not a statement of a particular buyer’s requirement. Add your real details before sending it. Follow with one product line per presentation and your specific questions.

Make each product line identifiable

Include the full name, URL, form, stated strength and named pack. For the Dr. ICO co-trimoxazole suspension entry, retain both the 240 mg/5 mL expression and the 100 mL bottle reference. They describe different fields.

Ask for an actionable response

List the information that would allow you to progress, then nominate a contact to consolidate replies. Keep unanswered questions visible instead of filling gaps with another supplier’s data.

Use the Inquiry List for selected products or the contact page for a general request. Check the final message before sending, and retain the sent version so any follow-up refers to the same requirements.
