B2B Healthcare Procurement Checklist for Importers and Distributors

1 min read

A healthcare procurement checklist should show what has been reviewed and what remains unresolved. Use it to prepare a product enquiry; do not treat a completed generic checklist as proof of regulatory compliance or supplier qualification.

Identity and requirement

  • Legal company name and responsible contact are recorded.
  • Intended destination and customer channel are defined.
  • Each product has its full name and catalogue URL.
  • Form, strength expression and pack are recorded without unsupported additions.
  • Quantities include a defined commercial unit.

Product evidence

  • Current specification and artwork questions are identified.
  • Composition and pack information are linked to their sources.
  • Product-specific handling questions are referred to the appropriate documentation.
  • The responsible destination reviewer has defined the information they need.

Commercial discussion

  • Requested terms are distinguished from confirmed terms.
  • Any proposal is tied to the correct presentation and quantity basis.
  • Open questions have a named owner.
  • The next decision and its conditions are recorded.

Apply the checklist to a small sample first

Choose a few relevant entries from the Dr. ICO catalogue and complete the checklist for each. This reveals gaps in your request before you expand it to a larger range.

Use an explicit “information required” status where a fact is missing. Do not substitute a zero, an assumed approval or a value copied from another presentation. Keep the review date with the information so later changes can be assessed.

Send the shortlisted products through the Inquiry List with the questions that matter for the next stage. The checklist’s purpose is to improve the quality of that exchange and make unresolved decisions visible.
